Nymphaea

Nemphaea is a genus of aquatic plants with large attractive flowers.Not all water lilies are fragrant. It is large rhizomatous aquatic herb having slender elongated creeping stem with nodal roots.It is tender aquatic plants from family Nymphaeceae.Commonly called water lilies.Nymphaea mexican,N.candida,N. lotus, N.capensis.White water lily,N.odorata. are some important ornamental species.Most species of water lily have rounded notched,waxy coated leaves on long stalk that arises from thick,fleshy creeping underwater stem burrired in the mud.It shows many aquatic adaptations.
